The Ministry of Education has called on all stakeholders to maintain the highest level of integrity during the ongoing 2024 end of year school examinations.
Ministry of Education Permanent Secretary, Education Services, Mr. Jeol Kamoko has said parents, guardians, educators together with other stakeholders have a duty to ensure that the Grade 7,9 and 12 examinations run smoothly.
Speaking at his Office in Lusaka Tuesday, 29th October 2024, Mr. Kamoko said parents, guardians and educators have both a legal and moral duty to avoid all manner of illegalities associated with examinations.
He said this is in order for the country to continue having credible and fair examinations.
The Ministry of Education through the Examination Council of Zambia want to continue conducting credible examinations and can only do so with the support of all stakeholders.
Mr. Kamoko said management of credible examinations is critical in the education system because examinations are one way of assessing if learners are well prepared to meet the country’s social and economic needs.
