Zambian Truck Driver On The Run For The Theft Of 1480 by 25kg Bags Of Mealie meal

A Zambian truck driver identified as Chabby Machona of Lusaka with others unknown are on the run for the theft of 1480 by 25 Kgs of breakfast mealie meal belonging to Forshan Company, a South African company.
The matter was reported to Kafulafuta police by a member of the sister company Zuber Darsot of Ndola who reported on behalf of Forshan Company that 1480 by 25kg of breakfast Mealie -meal was stolen from a Sino truck registration number AJF 4817 and AJF 5028.
The theft occurred on 23rd October 2024 at 10:30 hours off Ndola Kabwe road. Facts of the matter are that, on October 4, 2024, the said truck started off from South Africa to Congo DRC loaded with 1480 by 25kgs of breakfast mealie meal branded super star.
Copperbelt police commanding officer Peacewell Mweemba narrates that on the way to DRC Congo, when they reached at Shamilimo Truck Park, a truck went off the Ndola -Kabwe road about half a kilometer and packed in the bush.
Mr. Mweemba adds that whilst there, the driver together with others unknown started off loading the mealie meal and started prepacking it into 20 Kgs packaging from the original 25kgs without the knowledge of the owners.
The company GPS recorded the missing of the said truck from the main road and reported the matter to the sister company in Ndola Kafulafuta area whose sister company quickly reported the matter to Kafulafuta Police Station.
Together with Police officers they followed the coordinates and found the Sino truck and trailer parked about half a kilometer off Ndola -kabwe road at Mishikishi with the driver and other people who upon noticing the presence of the police managed to run away.
