The Kidney Foundation of Zambia says dialysis services for Diabetic patients in Zambia are free at all its centres throughout the country.
Association General Secretary Augustine Mukuka was reacting to sections of society that said dialysis services in the country are expensive and not affordable for majority Zambians.
Mr. Mukuka has told Journalists in Lusaka that dialysis machines have been procured by government and that are dotted in all provincial centres.
He disclosed that most of the machines especially in Western and Central provinces are underutilised and that they may be closed.
And information and Media permanent secretary Thabo Kawana took a swipe at those preaching a message that dialysis services in Zambia are expensive and not affordable.
Mr. Kawana stressed that governments will endeavour to ensure that health services all accessible and available to all Zambians.
