The opposition Socialist Party SP On the Copperbelt has described the UPND Government as a government that lacks care and has no sympathy for the Zambian People.
Speaking at a Media briefing, SP Copperbelt Provincial Chairperson Dr. Brian Chirambo says the cost of living as a result of the current energy problems is likely to go up owing to ERB’s approval of ZESCO’s emergency tariff hike.
Dr. Chirambo says the anchor of economic growth is the energy sector which the UPND government has lamentably failed to manage.
He adds that Zambia’s economy is comprised mainly of Small Medium Enterprises who rely heavily on electricity for their sustenance, but today their businesses are on the verge of collapsing owing to the UPND’s failure in governance.
