The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) has observed that Zambia is highly reliant on external funding regarding the environmental protection sector.

Country director Nalucha Ziba has advised that the subsequent overall national budget allocation must channel more resources to the environmental protection sector as it is proving to be a key pillar of Zambia’s economic growth and livelihood sustenance for the people.

Ms Ziba has told Mafken News in Lusaka doing so will position the country on the right path when it comes to restoration of the degraded landscapes in line with the climate change
