Government Re-affirms Commitment To The School Feeding Program

Education Minister Douglas Syakalima says the coming of the Free Education Policy in Zambia has not ignored the feeding of Children in schools.
Mr. Syakalima has disclosed that the policy has so far seen the enrolment of over two million pupils in school.
Mr. Syakalima has informed vice president Mutale Nalumango in Lusaka that with the acute increase in numbers, the feeding program of pupils in schools has continued with a strong call to execute the program by giving nutritious foods to learners.
And deputy secretary to cabinet Dr. Oliver Kalabo regretted that effects of climate change have largely affected the production of nutritious foods and called on stakeholders to collaborate in a bid to support the production of affordable local food
