Kantanshi MP Calls For Transparency In The Cash For Work Program

Kantanshi Constituency Member of Parliament Anthony Mumba has urged Ward Development Committees -WDCs and Community Wellfare Assistant Committees – CWACs to be transparent as they spearhead the Cash For Work program in the District.
Dr.Mumba says the program should save its purpose of supporting the most vulnerable in communities and those spearheading the program should refrain from politicising it.
Speaking in a telephone interview with Mafken News, the area MP has also thanked government for increasing the number of beneficiaries in the Cash for Work program.
Yesterday, Mufulira Town Clerk Kasonde Musongole announced that the number of beneficiaries in the program has been increased and over 3 thousand residents are expected to benefit for the month of October, 2024.
