Mwiimbu Warns of Rising Scams Amid Economic Challenges

Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security, Jack Mwiimbu, has cautioned the public to remain vigilant against scams, warning that the ongoing global economic challenges could lead to a rise in fraudulent activities.
Speaking in Parliament during his Ministerial Statement, Mr. Mwiimbu highlighted the increasing popularity of e-commerce scams as people seek attractive deals amid the rising cost of living.
The Minister noted that government is aware of the severe impact these scams have on the lives of ordinary citizens.
Mr. Mwiimbu revealed that his ministry is collaborating with the Ministry of Science and Technology to combat cybercrime as well as financial institutions, mobile network operators, and other stakeholders to implement stronger security measures
