Governance Expert Urges Zambians To Support Dialogue Between president Hichilema And ECL

The Advocates for Democratic Governance-ADEG has called on Zambians to support the initiative by the church for dialogue between former president Edgar Chagwa Lungu and President Hakainde Hichilema.

Organisation Executive Director Gideon Musonda tells Mafken News that there is a risk of escalated political divisions among followers if not properly checked adding that dialogue between the two is crucial especially when the country is faced with many challenges.

Mr. Musonda is of the view that dialogue between the two leaders will be a critical step in facilitating the building of the much needed consensus towards constitutional and electoral reforms to enhance democratic governance.

He has since called on stakeholders to avoid negative comments and acts that may jeopardize genuine efforts for the dialogue.
