President Hichilema Advised To Stop The Revenge Type Of Approach In Fighting Corruption

Opposition Golden Party Of Zambia GPZ president Jackson Silavwe has charged that President Hakainde Hichilema has for the past 3 years purposefully ignored corruption in his own Government and amongst senior UPND officials.

Mr. Silavwe has cited civil service appointments to promotions, awarding of contracts, paying local contractors, procurement of goods and services as some of the corrupt activities under President Hichilema’s Government.

The GPZ leader tells Mafken News that Corruption hurts the country no matter who is involved as it depletes the trust the people have in their government and public officials hence the need to have it curtailed.

He has since called on President Hichilema to put an end to corruption for the benefit of the citizens adding that what he is doing is not fighting corruption but revenge against his perceived political enemies found wanting.
