“Kalaba Slams Hichilema’s Abuse of Power “

Opposition Citizens First Party President Harry Kalaba has condemned what he describes as the ongoing abuse of authority under Republican President Hakainde Hichilema’s rule.

Mr. Kalaba has cited the continued detention of political opponents without being charged, stating that it is a clear demonstration of the extreme rule under which the country is operating.

Mr. Kalaba tells Mafken news this morning that it is sad to have Patriotic Front-PF- Secretary General Raphael Nakachinda in detention on perky charges aimed at breaking him and in the process further marginalizing the opposition in the country.

The opposition leader has urged Mr. Hichilema and his government to desist from abusing the law especially that Zambia has been a beacon of hope, which is now fast degenerating into a police state under the Mr. Hichilema’s rule.
