Kantanshi MP Proposes Fencing for Reported Statue Site at Mufulira Roundabout

Kantanshi Member of Parliament Anthony Mumba has proposed the installation of a fence around the area rumoured to be reserved for a statue at the Mufulira roundabout.

In an interview with Mafken News, Dr. Mumba expressed confusion over the delay in opening the roundabout to the public, despite the Road Development Agency completing all necessary works.

He emphasized that the alleged statue should not hinder the roundabout’s opening, suggesting that fencing could be erected around the statue’s intended location to facilitate the resumption of normal business operations and prevent trucks from using residential roads.

The Kantanshi Lawmaker has challenged the Mufulira Municipal Council and the District Commissioner’s office to address this issue, as they oversee local infrastructure and operations in the district.
