Tiliyenji Kaunda, 27 Others Expelled From UNIP

The United National Independence Party (UNIP) executive has expelled 27 party members amongst them is the son to First Republican President Tiliyenji Kaunda.
Announcing the expulsion at a presser in Lusaka , UNIP Secretary General, Reverend Alfred Banda says the party executive has unanimously agreed to expell the 27 senior members with a case amounting to gross misconduct.
Reverend Banda adds that the expelled members promoted factionalism in the party.
Reverend Banda accused the expelled members of taking part in the illegal Party Extra Ordinary General Congress held from 2nd to 4th April,2021 in Provinces.
He says the group has also been charged with gross Indiscipline on illegal adoptions for Presidential and General Election’s with no locus stand for the misusing of Party funds and assets.
Among other expelled notable members include; Njekwana Anamela,Kenneth Kaira,Welfare Mfune and Lazarus Mulenga Mwiche.
