Some stakeholders in Mufulira District on the Copperbelt Province have criticised the proposed increment of the Constituency Development Fund – CDF in the 2025 national budget.

Anglican Church Priest George Njovu says government should have maintained the allocation of CDF because some districts are still failing to utilise the allocated funds.

And Aspiring Member of Parliament for Mufulira Central Constituency Reagan Kashinga has echoed Fr. Njovu’s concern, noting that Constituencies are allegedly not receiving the full allocated amount of CDF per year from government a situation he says shows that the K 31.6 million is more than enough to bring development into Constituencies.

Meanwhile, Mr. Kashinga has suggested that government should have allocated more funds into the energy sector which has currently crippled the country’s economy.
