Mufulira’s Chachacha Ward Residents Protest over Lack of Water

Residents of Chachacha Ward in Mufulira Central Constituency are irritable over the lack of water they have experienced for over three months.

One of the residents Silvia Kashimoto has told Mafken News that residents are worried that they may start suffering from waterborne diseases because they are being forced to draw water from sources that are suspected to be contaminated

She adds that her yard garden which supplies her family with vegetables has dried up due to lack of water.

Meanwhile, Chachacha Ward Committee Chairperson Daniel Nakakena has disclosed that money has been allocated from the 2025 Constituency Development Fund to sink community boreholes in the ward.
