Mufulira Central MP Urges Government To Resolve Issues At Mopani Copper Mines

Mufulira Member Of parliament Golden Mwila has bemoaned the continued unresolved issues currently being experienced at Mopani Copper Mines.

Mr. Mwila has cited among them the non-payment of suppliers and contractors, the low wages being paid to the workers amid crazy working hours and allowances such as overtime still remain unpaid.

Speaking during a media briefing, the Member of Parliament stated that despite the existence of the much talked about investor, things at Mopani still remain in a terrible condition.

Mr. Mwila has since called on Government to address the issues at Mopani because many lives are dependent on the successful running of the mine.
