Mufulira Town Clerk Clarifies Beneficiary Additions to Cash for Work Program

Mufulira Town Clerk, Kasonde Musongole has addressed concerns regarding the recent addition of 12 beneficiaries to the previously selected 17 for the Cash for Work program in all the wards.

Speaking during a full Council meeting, Ms. Musongole disclosed that the added 12 to the already selected beneficiaries were those that were identified but let left out in the last ended food for work program.

This clarification follows inquiries from Mufulira Member of Parliament Golden Mwila, who sought details on the selection process for the newly added 12 beneficiaries to the selected 17.

Meanwhile, some councillors have alleged that the Cash for Work Program has brought confusion in communities and that suspected cadres are the only ones benefitting.
