The Pharmaceutical Society Of Zambia has reiterated its dedication to ensuring that no treatment is hindered by the unavailability of essential medicines and supplies.
Society President Keegan Mwape has noted the unique position that pharmacists have to positively impact the welfare of patients from ensuring safe medication use to being at the fore front of health care initiatives.
The Pharmaceutical president has since urged pharmacists’ country wide to not just be providers of medicines but to be champions of healthcare equity and advocates for the vulnerable.
He was speaking at the University Teaching Hospital Cancers Diseases hospitals, when the society made a donation to the paediatric cancers hospital in commemoration of the world pharmacists’ day which falls on September 24, every year.
And UTH paediatric Oncology Dr. Chingo expressed gratitude saying the donation would go a long way.
