Future Preneur Zambia has condemned the decision by Lufwanyama Boarding School to expel nine grade 12 pupils who were filmed smoking cigarettes in July.

Recently a video went viral on social media showing the students engaging in the behaviour.

Organisation Executive Director Martin Kampamba has acknowledged that the girls’ behaviour was inappropriate but argued that expulsion was not the right course of action.

Mr. Kampamba says the institution should have engaged with civil society organizations that advocate for young girls to provide support and guidance.

He has emphasized that the expulsion sends a troubling message, potentially leading the girls to continue making poor choices.

He further says there is need for supportive interventions to foster positive development among pupils in boarding Schools. Edit this news story as a news editor would.
