MOPANI Aims To Become A Global Leader In Copper Production

Mopani Copper Mines has announced a new corporate vision, aiming to become a global leader in copper production.
The company’s updated goal, To become a world champion mine through BEST values, replaces its previous aim of being world-class.
In a statement availed to Mafken News, Mopani Chief Executive Officer Charles Sakanya said the company’s focus is now on exceeding industry standards.
Mr. Sakanya added that as part of this vision, Mopani plans to ramp up copper production from 65,000 tonnes to 225,000 tonnes annually over the next four years.
According to Mopani’s Public Relations Manager, Nebert Mulenga, the company will prioritize workforce development, carbon footprint reduction, and enhanced operational efficiency to achieve its ambitious targets.
