Governance Expert Calls For Patriotism When Evaluating National Issues

Governance expert Wesley Miyanda has urged Zambians to adopt a more patriotic and positive mindset, especially when evaluating ongoing national issues and reforms.
In an exclusive interview with Mafken News, Mr Miyanda emphasized the importance of understanding and engaging with government actions rather than outrightly rejecting them.
He pointed out that amid current challenges such as load shedding, it is crucial for citizens to explore how government initiatives, including President Hichilema’s recent trip to China may positively impact the energy sector.
He also highlighted various government programs, acknowledging both their successes and shortcomings, and stressed the need for solutions to unresolved issues.
He suggested that the current focus on constitutional reforms might be driven by personal interests rather than collective national benefit.
