Political Activist Urges Zambians To Heed To President Hichilema’s Call For Constitutional Reforms

Political activist Dante Saunders has urged Zambians to support President Hakainde Hichilema’s call for constitutional reform, describing it as a crucial opportunity to address long-standing issues.

Mr. Saunders, in an interview with Mafken News in Lusaka criticized those opposing Hichilema’s efforts, stating that they are unfairly attacking a well-intentioned initiative.

He expressed strong support for the president’s plan, emphasizing the need to fix the constitution’s inconsistencies. 

Mr. Saunders encouraged Zambians to recognize President Hichilema’s genuine intentions despite challenges such as corruption and systemic issues.

And Party of National Unity and Progress PNUP President Highvie Hamududu, has emphasized the need for amendments to Zambia’s current constitution to better align it with modern governance demands.

In a radio interview with Mafken News, he described the constitution as a living document that should be updated when certain clauses hinder effective governance.
