Cash for Work Program Launched in Mufulira District

Government has rolled out the Cash for Work program in drought-affected districts, providing beneficiaries with K600 after completing 10 days of work.
In Mufulira District on the Copperbelt Province, the initiative was officially launched to offer relief amid the ongoing food crisis.
Mufulira District Administrative Officer Zakeyo Kamanga said the program aims to assist vulnerable individuals in the district.
Meanwhile, Mufulira Town Clerk Kasonde Musongole refuted claims that only UPND members are benefiting from the program. She emphasized that the selection process is transparent, with all vulnerable individuals eligible for support, regardless of their political affiliation.
