The Civil Service Commission has announced the recruitment of 329 additional Phase III Cholera volunteers, following a directive from President Hakainde Hichilema.
Speaking during a press briefing, Commission Chairperson Dr. Choolwe Beyani stated that the new recruits include 209 general workers and 120 professional workers, bringing the total number of Cholera volunteers in public service to 1,250.
Dr. Beyani also revealed that the Ministry of Health has provided 1,088 contract positions, raising the total number of volunteers to 2,338. He attributed delays in the recruitment process to recent human resource changes, including retirements and resignations.
The names of successful candidates will be published tomorrow, September 18, 2024, with appointment letters available at the Public Service Management Division starting September 19, 2024.
