Care For Nature Raises Concern Over Abuse Of Children In Mining Areas

Care for Nature Executive Director Nsama Kearns says there is need to contain the the abuse of children in areas were mining activities are taking place.
Ms Kearns says the cases involving children amongst them child labour and sex abuse need urgent attention.
She has told Mafken News in Lusaka that her organisation has also learnt that the performance of children in school in the said areas is poor.
Ms Kearns has called on traditional leaders to join hands and bring the situation under control.
