21 Year Old Mufulira Based CBU Student Murdered

A 21 Year Old Student at the Copperbelt University of Zambia-CBU-is reported to have been murdered after being attacked by unknown individuals who went away with his cell phone.
The student identified as, Kafula Musonda was residing in Mufulira district on the Copperbelt and he was in the school of Mathematics and Natural sciences.
Confirming this Development to Mafken news, Copperbelt Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba revealed that, the victim sustained two deep cuts on the head and unknown instrument is alleged to have been used in the act.
Mr. Mweemba explains that, on September, 14, 2024 around 22:30hours the victim was coming from the campus to Chipata Compound where his boarding house is located and before he could pass through the campus small gate, he was attacked by unknown persons.
He adds that after the attack, the victim managed to reach the community Police Post in Chipata Compound about 600 meters from the gate where he found Bruce Chembe, a Community Crime Prevention Officer who later informed the Kitwe East Police Station.
The unconscious victim was then rushed to Kitwe Teaching Hospital where he was admitted but he unfortunately died today at around 09:00hours, while his body has been deposited in the Mortuary awaiting post mortem and burial.
