Poultry farmers have been advised to sell their chickens live as opposed to have them dressed amidst the power deficit currently being experienced in the country.

The pronouncements were made during the International Poultry Festival being held in Lusaka.

Expo managing direct Diamone Siulapwa says doing so will be the only alternative for those in the poultry business to avoid making losses.

Mr. Siulapwa added that with only three hours of power per day, poultry farmers have recorded massive losses in their businesses.

He also urged poultry farmers to reduce on their stocks until the power crisis situation is resolved.
