PROTUZ Proposes Construction Of Teacher Houses Using CDF Amid Housing Units Deficit

The Professional Teachers Union of Zambia says there is a 90 thousand deficit of housing units for teachers in the ministry of education.

PROTUZ General Secretary Kangwa Musenga there is need to come up with a strategy to change the status quo as the current scenario provides for teachers to have standard accommodation.

Mr. Musenga has proposed for the construction of some teachers houses using the Constituency Development Funds CDF to cushion the shortage of teacher’s houses in the country.

And Mr. Musenga has told Mafken News in Lusaka that the union is currently working with other stakeholders to see to it that over 20 thousand school are electrified.
