Political Activist Refutes Claims of Weak Opposition in Zambia
Written by Mafken FM Newsroom on 2 September 2024
Political activist Tenson Manzi has refuted claims that Zambia lacks a strong and credible opposition.
In an interview with Mafken News, Mr. Manzi argued that the notion of a weak opposition is a narrative created by the government, which he alleges is intolerant towards opposition groups.
He emphasized that this portrayal does not reflect the true strength of the opposition.
He highlighted the Patriotic Front (PF) as a prime example of a robust opposition. Despite being a major party with a significant number of members of Parliament and councilors, the PF remains a strong force in Zambian politics.
