The Opposition Patriotic Front-PF-Party says Former President Edgar Chagwa’s Lungu’s remarks on ‘Hypocrisy’ after the burial of Late Fourth Republican President Rupiah Banda was on point.
PF Information and Publicity Chairperson Raphael Nakacinda says there has been a growing trend of hypocrisy in the country where people especially politicians are only appreciated when they die.
He adds that it is for this reason that people should not be afraid to confront each other with the truth.
Meanwhile, various stake holders have continued to react to the statement issued by Zambia’s former President Edgar Lungu at the presidential burial site of former President Rupiah Banda’s burial proceeding, where Mr. Lungu called for true reconciliation between those in government and those that were there before as opposed to what he termed as the hypocrisy currently been exhibited.
UPND–Chairman for Mines Percy Chanda has described former President Edgar Lungu as a hypocrite who should avoid reminding Zambians about the atrocities his brutal regime allegedly inflicted on innocent Zambians.
Mr. Chanda who is also a member of the National Management Committee-NMC-has advised Mr. Lungu to play a critical role in championing peace in the country.
He has alleged that utterances of “hypocrisy” from the former Head of state is a direct provocation to Zambians who are currently adapting to a new life under the New Dawn Administration.
Mr. Chanda has wondered why Mr. Lungu is asking for dialogue which he never wanted when he was in power.
He said this in a statement availed to Mafken FM radio today.
