HH appeals to Zambians to uphold Christian values

President Hakainde Hichilema has reiterated his appeal for Zambians to uphold Christian values and reflect them in their daily lives.

President Hichilema says vices such as corruption, division, and inequality should not be practiced in a Christian nation like Zambia.

The Head of State said this in an interview with Vatican Radio in Rome, Italy after concluding his visit to the Vatican City where he held a meeting with Pope Francis.

President Hichilema also said corruption was an evil vice that takes away resources meant to improve lives of the poor and the general welfare of the Zambian citizens.

Meanwhile, President Hichilema said his administration is on track to achieve what the UPND party promised Zambians.

He disclosed that his government has implemented the free education policy from primary to secondary school in older to enable every child an opportunity to earn education.

The Head of State said this has been done through the increasing of the Constituency Development Fund -CDF- from K1.6 million to K25.7 million for each constituency in the country.
