Discrimination against HIV/AIDS condemned

The Young Women’s Christian Association has called on people to test for HIV in order for them to know their status so as to help fight the pandemic.

Association Executive Director Patricia Ndhlovu, says there is no need for the community to stigmatize people living with the virus, but should encourage them to adhere to medication.

She said this in an interview with Mafken Radio today. Zambia has today joined the rest of the world in commemorating world Aids day

And  in Mufulira, the Zambia Centre for Communication Project Kwatu District Coordinator under the USAID stop Gender Based Violence GBV Project Paul Mzinga says the fight against HIV/AIDS needs concerted effforts.

And Human Rights Activists Zebbies Mumba has urged citizens not to discrimate those living with the virus.

Mr. Mumba said this in an interview with Mafken Radio today. This year’s world AIDS Day is commemorated under the theme’ The Future is our Responsibility let’s take action now’.
