The National Action for Quality Education in Zambia has urged the Government to allow all University of Zambia UNZA students who have not paid their tuition fees in full be allowed to sit for exams.
Organizations Executive Director Aaron Chansa has told Mafken FM Radio that the move by Unza management to stop students from sitting for exams is unfair.
UNZA students last evening rioted and torched property after management at the varsity barred them from sitting for sessional exams.
Meanwhile, Higher Education Minister Brian Mushimba has elected to remain silent over the standoff between Unza management and students on tuition fees.
And the opposition Democratic Party DP Copper belt Spokesperson Louis Makanda has told Mafken FM Radio that UNZA management should be compassionate when handling student problems.
