Operation save the Constitution crusade Launched

  A consortium of Civil Society Organizations CSOs has launched a crusade they are calling, “operation save the constitution”.

The crusade is aimed at raising awareness among members of the public on the infamous third term bid that President Edgar Lungu is championing.

Human rights defender Macdonald Chipenzi has insisted that Mr. Lungu does not qualify to run for election next year as the constitution bars him from doing so.

Mr. Chipenzi has further announced that CSOs will be going throughout the country to educate citizens on the attempts to tear apart the Republican Constitution by the PF.

The debate on the third term Presidential bid by President Lungu has resurfaced after the collapse of Bill Number 10.

But, attempts to rape the constitution for political expediency by the PF have wholesomely been rejected by various stakeholders.

And the Law Association of Zambia LAZ President Abyud Shonga says the constitutional court did not declare President Lungu eligible to run for a third term of office.
